Ellie Collyer-Bristow
Ellie has spent the last two years working as a freelance Casting Director and Theatre Producer based in London.
Her credits as Casting Director include: Bright Lights, Big City (Hoxton Hall), Car Park (Oval House Theatre), The Drowsy Chaperone (Upstairs at the Gatehouse),This Is How It Goes (The King’s Head), Romeo & Juliet (Mosaica@The Chocolate Factory), Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story, (Upstairs at the Gatehouse), A Christmas Carol (Best Play 2010 – London Festival Fringe Awards, The King’s Head), Stiffed! (Tabard Theatre), Much (The Cock Tavern), Da (Warehouse Theatre), Flash of Light (The King’s Head), and Pages: Promised Land (Union Theatre). She has also worked as Casting Assistant to both Marilyn Johnson CDG and Anna Kennedy on projects to include Feature Films: Pimp and Legacy; Short Film: Edward’s Turmoil; TV: Come Rain or Come Shine, ITV; Hattie, BBC 4; When Boris Met Dave, Ch4; The Adventures of Daniel and Off The Hook, BBC3.
She is currently producing the first professional production since 1792 of the ‘lost’ Shakespeare play Double Falsehood at The Union Theatre in Southwark for MokitaGrit, which opens on 18 Jan 2011. Her other credits as Lead Producer include: A Very Musical Evening in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust (The Bull Theatre 2008 & Wilton’s Music Hall 2010), Romeo & Juliet (Mosaica@The Chocolate Factory), Off the King’s Road (Trafalgar Studio 2), MMD’s X – The Musical (Theatre Royal, Drury Lane) and for The Shoreditch Trust Best Friends and Butterflies performed with the BBC Big Band. Credits as Assistant Producer include Blood Wedding and Petite Rouge for The Steam Industry (The Scoop), A Christmas Carol for MokitaGrit (King’s Head Theatre), Crazy For You for Eyebrow Productions (London Palladium), and Pluto for GRIT Productions (The Blue Elephant Theatre). Ellie recently attended the Stage One Workshop for New Producers.
