Edie thinks she is someone else – a preacher, a Nazi, a bus driver; Mildred and Maud make fairy cakes and come to blows; Lady Luck keeps a pet man…..while The Drunk, gets drunk.
What happens when you can’t bear to be alone? What happens when you hurt the ones you love? What happens then?
When the dark days approach and the end draws near – stand up and relish the fight!
Nancy Walsh’s groundbreaking debut focuses on the terrible hilarity of the day-to-day. In Walsh’s bizarrely comic yet heartbreaking world, five beautifully observed characters struggle to come to grips with their past. We are taken on a paranoid but poignant journey where these lonely lives are forced to collide.
How to Die in a Domestic Environment is a dark and humorous exploration of the tragicomedy that is everyday life and the illusions, shams and lies people create to deal with the world.
